Peninsula Midwives offers full spectrum midwifery care for essentially healthy, low risk pregnancies
Generous Visits
Free consultation to answer any questions you may have, as well as discuss whether midwifery care and home birth are right for you
Initial visit lasting ~120 minutes where we review your medical history, I may perform a physical exam and collect samples for initial lab work.
Routine visit schedule—every 4 weeks up to 28 weeks, every 2 weeks until 36 weeks when I come to your home for a home visit and then weekly until labor begins
Routine 60 minute visits that include clinical data gathering and assessment, as well as a focus on your emotional and psychological well-being
Labs samples collected at the clinic as well as referrals for ultrasounds as indicated or desired
Education
Prioritizing any questions and concerns you may have regarding your body, baby and birth.
Discussion and education around topics such as nutrition, body changes, recommendations for common pregnancy complaints, and normal and abnormal physiology of pregnancy/birth/postpartum
Helping you to feel prepared and empowered with information and resources for birth, postpartum baby care
A lending library filled with a wide variety of books and DVDs on the topics of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, babies and parenting
Community
I am committed to the future of midwifery and as such occasionally I have a midwifery student in my practice. I offer my client’s the choice of how involved the student is in their care.
